Radiology Management Program Information

Highmark Delaware utilizes the radiology management services of NIA Magellan for non-emergent, high-tech outpatient radiology services rendered to members enrolled in Highmark Delaware health plans. NIA is NCQA and URAC accredited and offers our participating providers a program that supports standard protocols and offers the expertise of peer physicians.

Radiology management remains a key focus as we continue our efforts toward providing safe, quality and efficient health care services. With the expansion of imaging technology, increasing concern over the levels of radiation exposure, and spiraling health care costs, radiology oversight programs, like Highmark Delaware's, are common.

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield serves the 29 counties of western Pennsylvania and 13 counties of northeastern Pennsylvania. Highmark Blue Shield serves the 21 counties of central Pennsylvania and also provides services in conjunction with a separate health plan in southeastern Pennsylvania.
